Marites Sy, CPA, CIA, CISA, CGMA is a Partner in the Firm’s Chicago office. Tes brings more than 25 years of experience working exclusively in public accounting. Tes oversees all aspects of engagements including planning, testing, internal controls, compliance, and completion. She also leads various information system review engagements for different governmental entities. She is a trusted leader who handles financial audits, single audits, compliance examination in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America, Government Auditing Standards, Uniform Guidance, HUD Audit Guide and other governmental entities’ audit guides.
Tes is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois, California, New York, and New Jersey and is also a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Tes is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and currently serves on the Government Report Review Committee, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA), the Philippine CPAs of Greater Chicago (PCPA), and the International Society of Filipinos in Finance and Accounting – Chicago Chapter. She currently serves as a member of the ICPAS’ Governmental Report Review Committee.
Tes earned her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, Philippines.
