Stewart Robinson, CPA, ABV, CFE, MST is the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Commercial Audit and Assurance practice where he focuses on both privately and publicly held companies. Stewart has a widely diverse background with deep core experience in many disciplines of the accounting profession. Considered a go-to person to resolve complex accounting standards application issues in industries as diverse as manufacturing, information technology, biotech life sciences and television and film production. He has provided litigation consulting and business valuation services performed audits of public and private companies including broker-dealers and provided tax and accounting consultation services to a variety of privately held businesses and high net worth individuals. Additionally, he has significant expertise in the tax aspects of LLC and partnership merger and transaction structuring and consumer product licensing. His broad background and formal training in tax, accounting, and business valuations, as an Accredited Business Valuation Analyst, provide unique insight to issues involving debt restructuring, equity and derivative financial instruments where he can meld his interdisciplinary background into a unique perspective on those subjects.As a Certified Fraud Examiner, Stewart has performed numerous fraud and insurance claim investigations in diverse industries from newspaper publishing to financial services. Stewart has lectured on accounting and auditing, income taxation, business valuations, and equitable distribution and property valuation in marital dissolutions. He has rendered expert testimony in New York Supreme Court, New York Family Court and the United States Bankruptcy Court on diverse valuation, accounting and economic matters including insurance company bad-faith and loss of income cases. Stewart has also taught accounting at the City University of New York and the New York Institute of Credit.

Stewart is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He holds the credentials of ABV (Accredited Business Valuation Analyst) granted by the AICPA, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) granted by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and has a Masters of Science in Taxation.

Stewart received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Queens College and his Master’s Degree in Taxation from William Howard Taft University.
